If you have any problem and you call customer care, it will no longer be free. For this, you will now have to pay money (Airtel customer care charges). This decision has been taken by Airtel. Now the company has also told the customers the customer support and complaint resolution processes for Airtel services.
Airtel said that general information and questions can be resolved by calling 121, while service requests and complaints are resolved through 198. The numbers are different for mobile, fixed line, and broadband customers, and prepaid/postpaid.
Customers dissatisfied with the solution can appeal to the appellate authority in various ways, including calling 198 or using the contact details (name, number, email, address) given for the Delhi and NCR region.
How to do complaint registration and tracking
New complaints can be registered online at https://www.airtel.in/contact-us, and the status of existing complaints can be tracked at https://www.airtel.in/s/selfcare/track-request.
Information on deactivating additional services or value-added services, starting mobile internet, and discontinuing SMS services is also provided with relevant short codes.
