After the names of the top 38 applicants selected by the University Vice Chancellor Selection Committee are revealed, now there will be two phases of voting. What is the voting process?

During the first phase of voting starting from October 28, voters will prepare a list according to the ranking of their preferred candidates. In this, they can include many or all if they want, but it will be necessary to give a ranking. The names of the top 5 candidates will be released on November 4. After this, the second phase of voting will start from November 18 in which the name of the new Chancellor of the University will be decided. The name of the new Chancellor of Oxford University will be announced on November 25.

The tenure will be for 10 years.

The tenure of the new Vice Chancellor of the University has been fixed for 10 years. Earlier there was a provision to remain Chancellor till retirement but recently the rules of the University have been changed and the tenure has been limited to ten years. The Chancellor of Oxford University is responsible for fundraising for the University as well as going as a representative of the University in various programs of the country and the world.
