Woman praised for hiding money in supermarkets for tear-jerking reason

A woman has been praised by thousands after hiding money in various items at her local supermarket. Mum-of-two, Victoria Maria Yavnyi, uploaded a video of herself sneaking cash into several baby products to help fellow mums and dads out.

She slipped the money into boxes of nappies, tubs of milk formula and other essentials many parents buy for their kids. As well as the cash, she also put little handwritten notes into the items.

Showing what one of the notes says next to a $5 bill, she wrote: "Hey Mama! You are doing amazing. Here's a coffee on me. Victoria."

The video has since gone viral unsurprisingly, with almost 100k likes and thousands of comments from many impressed by Victoria's generosity. Lauren replied: "Wow this might be the coolest most indiscrete way to give I’ve ever seen."

Ana, clearly inspired by Victoria's act of good will, put: "I will definitely be doing this , thank you for this video." Chanda said: "An absolute blessing! A gesture so little can actually go a long way for another individual!"

Sara added: "Some ppl are using their last $1 to buy that item. That money could help get them food or gas. If you complain about this you never knew struggle." Cory admitted: "As a single dad. I would love to find a positive note with some cash in it next time I go pick up some diapers. Wholesome."

Renata shared her own experience: "Someone put money in a box of diapers I bought when my kids were little. I cried. It was the best surprise ever because we were so broke at that time."

In the caption of her video, Victoria wrote: "She deserved the purse." The caption left some viewers confused by what she meant by that.

However, one commenter called Mercedes was on hand to explain, she said: "For those who don't understand 'she deserved the purse', there was a video posted where there was a purse put down in the baby isle where it appeared that a woman couldn't afford both the purse and diapers or formula, so she had to put it back to ensure that her baby had what they needed.

"Feel however you want about it but it's passing along a kind gesture to help someone out. $5 is $5 and can change someone's day and really help out even in today's society as any money or assistance is amazing to have. To say 'only $5' or any form of that is showing how ignorant and ungrateful you are for the things you have in life."
