Wolf Hall season two will soon begin on BBC One after a nine-year hiatus but when will it begin and who will star in the historical drama?
Based on the novels of the same name by Hilary Mantel, Wolf Hall is returning to the small screen to continue telling the life of Thomas Cromwell.
This time around, the show is going to concentrate on the last four years of his life, “completing his journey from self-made man to the most feared, influential figure of his time”.
Wolf Hall season 2 release dateThe second season of the historical drama, entitled Wolf Hall: The And The Light, will premiere on Sunday, November 10, at 9pm on One.
It had been nine years since the first series came out with the second season announced to be in pre-production back in 2022.

Wolf Hall season 2 castWolf Hall season two will see Bridge Of Spies and Dunkirk star Mark Rylance return as the show’s focus of Thomas Cromwell.
He will be joined by Homeland star Damian Lewis as well as King Henry VIII along with a number of new faces, including Peaky Blinders actress Kate Phillips as the royalty’s new wife Jane Seymour.
Other recognisable stars joining the cast are Mr Turner’s Timothy Spall as the Duke of Norfolk, ’s Harriet Walter as Lady Margaret Pole and The Queen’s Alex Jennings as Stephen Gardiner.
There will also be flashbacks throughout the second series of Cardinal Wolsey, portrayed by The Crown’s Jonathan Pryce.
Wolf Hall season 2 episode countThe second season of Wall Hall is to consist of six episodes in total, much like the first outing.
Episodes will be released weekly on BBC One and BBC following its initial release date.
As long as there are no shake-ups to the schedule, the finale should come out on Sunday, December 15.
