When is the next Fortnite update?

The next Fortnite update is expected to go live on Friday, October 11. Fortnite updates usually roll out every two weeks on a Tuesday, and following the most recent Tuesday, October 1 update, this was expected to be the case once again. But reputable Fortnite leaker @iFireMonkey has claimed via

that the next Fortnite update (v31.40) will launch on Friday, bringing with it the Fortnitemares content we’ve been expecting for spooky season. If the next Fortnite update doesn’t launch on this date, then Tuesday, October 15 is the next likely release date, as it falls in line with the expected update schedule that Epic Games has established for the title.

You’ll likely see Fortnite leakers plenty making noise about the update on Twitter just before it goes live, and it’s there that we’ll gain some kind of insight as to what the update itself will hold, though we can expect to see plenty involving SAW’s Billy the Puppet, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s Leatherface, and the return of the Witch’s Broom to Battle Royale and Zero Build gameplay, as revealed by the most recent Fortnitemares key art,

It’s going to be interesting to see Fortnite get an update on a Friday, and much sooner than we had expected it to arrive. We’ll take new content any day of the week, so it’s really no trouble.
