Oasis fans hit out as Noel Gallagher's 'corny' confession amid dynamic ticket pricing scandal

Fans of Oasis were left reeling once again after a comment made by Noel Gallagher regarding the group's rise to fame was shared on social media.

After thousands of fans missed out on tickets for the iconic band's upcoming tour next year, some are still left with a bitter taste regarding the "dynamic pricing" scandal. Despite prices being initially listed at £155, Ticketmaster increased the cost to almost double that amount due to a surge in demand.

And some let their feelings known as the band shared a video of Noel Gallagher explaining to John Robb how the band's initial success came about. Touching on how band's such as The Mondays had disbanded, Noel said there was nothing that was inspiring everyone. Then, as he described Oasis bursting onto the scene, he added: "Without sounding too corny, it was a band that was made by the people."

But it was this comment that fans took aim at. "By all the people?," one fan questioned before another jibed: "Now the people pay £355 a ticket." A third told the band: "Start cancelling the ticket in viagogo as you promised you would do," and a fourth fumed: ""A band made by the people", didn't stop you stiffing those people over with your ticket sales."

Another furiously asked: "So why are you ripping them off?!," while a sixth said: "Still f----d off about the whole ticketmaster shambles... lifelong fan, in both ballots, waited 9 hours for absolutely nish. ADD MORE DATES." However, there was also love on the post, with one user gushing: "OASIS TILL I DIE," while another added: "Best band in the world," along with an emoji face with love heart eyes.

Earlier in the week, Liam - who is yet to be seen with brother Noel since the tour announcement - teased the Dublin leg of their gigs will see the Wolfe Tones in support. The Brit rocker, 51, revealed he'd be "up for it" when a fan suggested the rock band known for their Irish rebel folk songs joined them on stage.

The Wolfe Tones were seemingly on board too, responding in a positive manner. The group's official Twitter page replied to Liam's comment: "See you at the foot of Hill 16," with thumbs up, an Irish flag and shaking hands emojis.
