Mike Tindall reveals close bond with Prince George and his role as the 'fun uncle'

Mike Tindall has spilled the beans on his bond with in his upcoming book, revealing tidbits about the young Royal that have taken fans by surprise.

The , who's hitched to the King's niece Zara Tindall, is set to release "The Good, The Bad and The Rugby - Unleashed" in October 2024. Co-written with Alex Payne and James Haskell, the book delves mostly into sports, but Mike, aged 46, also offers a glimpse intolife, which he found "easy" to become part of.

He dishes out charming stories about the love for football, especially for Aston Villa, sharing a fondness with his dad . Mike reveals: "Wherever he is, he'll sit down and watch that game."

He also confirms their close relationship, having kicked a ball around with George "numerous times in the garden". These insights follow a Royal commentator's confirmation that Mike has stepped into Prince Harry's shoes as the "fun uncle" for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, reports .

Body language expert Judi James told Fabulous magazine: "George's original 'fun uncle' and adult playmate did that infamous bolt to the US, leaving a huge Harry-shaped gap in the young boy's life that Mike has more than filled.

"Mike is the fun uncle everyone needs, but in the case of Prince George, whose destiny is all about duty and responsible behaviour, Mike's presence in his life is completely invaluable."

The same source also claims that Mike gets on fabulously with William, often caught chuckling away with the future king at public events alongside , aged 42, and Zara Tindall. However, it remains a mystery if Mike has kept in touch with following his Californian adventure kicked off in 2020 and after he dropped the explosive 'Spare' memoir earlier this year.
