That said, in a , Paul has revealed he's been sent an email stating that he's been barred from watching any UFC events in person. When asked why he snuck into UFC 306 and whether or not he's been banned, Paul replied: "He's just saying that to make it seem like I wasn't banned but definitely has sent an email to me saying I'm trespassed for all UFC events and I'm not welcome back. So, of course, Dana doing what he does best which is lie."

Over the years, the two men have exchanged words. Since making his professional debut in 2020, Paul has fought a number of UFC icons and has criticised the promotion over its fighter pay. Last year, he said he wanted to see the minimum pay for UFC fighters rise from $12,500 to $50,000.

More recently, Paul revealed his respect for White however. The 10-1 fighter praised the UFC chief following his speech at the Republican National Convention. "That’s where I applaud the UFC and what they’ve done for MMA as a sport,” Paul said on the Full Send podcast. “And their promotion, production, all of their s**t is amazing. Like, people think I hate the UFC. I don’t.

"I also have a lot of respect for – like, (White’s) RNC speech, bro, was amazing,” Paul noted. “Like we agree on so many things, and I think he has a great side of him. I’m sure we’d be friends maybe in this life, maybe in a different life. I just want fighters to get paid more, that’s it. $12,000 to fight? Even if they fought four times a year, that’s not enough to support their family.”
