Gabriel Magalhaes shows true Arsenal colours with wordless Jurrien Timber message

Gabriel Magalhaes has made his love for Arsenal perfectly clear in a social media moment with Jurrien Timber. The Brazil international has been in superb form this season, with the defender playing a pivotal role in helping his side keep five clean sheets so far - while also scoring two crucial goals.

With the Gunners becoming set-piece masters, Gabriel has been the one to benefit with headed goals coming vs arch rivals Tottenham and Manchester City. Nicolas Jover, the coach credited with Arsenal's set-piece dominance, saw his hard work pay off yet again when Arsenal scored from a direct free-kick against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League earlier this week.

Bukayo Saka has picked up several assists this season, because of his set-piece delivery, but this time his ball into the box evaded everyone, including Gianluigi Donnarumma in the PSG goal. Though he did not play a direct role, a theory has emerged that Gabriel delivered a secret signal to tell his teammates the cross was coming in low.

Given how he's now impacting games on a regular basis, the 26-year-old has become a fan favourite and his latest action will likely further endorse him to Arsenal supporters. In one of Arsenal's latest inside training videos, cameras captured many of the players coming out of the main London Colney building and on to the grass.

Gabriel strolled out next to his centre-back partner, William Saliba, with Timber to his left. Just as the Netherlands international looked set to stand with his fellow defenders, Gabriel stuck out his arm to keep Timber from walking over the Arsenal badge printed on the ground.

It may be a small thing to some but, clearly to Gabriel, it would be disrespectful to stand on the crest of the club you represent. This action from Gabriel to Timber needing to be repeated may not take place any time soon with the full-back, potentially, picking up a new injury against PSG.

Of course, the Dutchman - who Arsenal will provide an update on soon - might not have seen the badge. He was walking out to training at a pace with his head up.

"He [Timber] was unbelievable in the first half, but he felt something muscular and he wasn't certain," Arteta admitted after the game. "So I didn't want to take any risks. He's been out for a year - and he's played a lot of minutes - probably more minutes than we wanted in the past few weeks and we have to manage him."

The Gunners take on Southampton back at the Emirates Stadium this weekend - with Timber an injury doubt.
