Explosive Corrie special live episode will finally reveal Joel's real cause of death

Walls are slowly closing in on Joel Deering's real killer as another series of flashbacks is set to be aired on before a special live episode will reveal their identity.

viewers have been scratching their heads over who could have killed the duty solicitor on September 27, 2024, , to , blossoming online since his death.

Now bosses have teased a huge week ahead for fans of the Manchester-based soap as the final suspects in the murder case will be lined up before the real killer is set to be unmasked after a series of new chilling flashbacks on Friday, November 15, 2024.

But the most explosive drama yet will also air as Joel, who was found in the canal by a group of teenage boys, will be seen bloodied and battered, fearing for his life on the railway tracks.

However, an extra treat is in store for fans as the action-packed instalment will be followed by a live special from 9pm, with exclusive interviews with the cast of the long-running show, led by This Morning's Queen of Soaps, Sharon Marshall, who will presenting live from the Weatherfield cobbles.

The latest resident to be suspected of murder on Corrie was Kit Green, played by former star, as he was caught sneakily deleting evidence that could have helped crack the case. But in upcoming scenes, the police are under intense pressure to bring the murderer to justice, as the investigation trails on.

As mentioned, Joel’s wronged ex Dee-Dee (), her father Ed () and uncle Ronnie () are all on the suspects list, much like Mason Radcliffe (), DS Lisa Swain (), who was removed from the case after Joel’s involvement with her daughter Betsy was revealed.

But on Monday (November 11), during another revealing flashback, soap fans will again see Carla (Alison King) leaving the Underworld factory on the night Joel disappeared. While they may have thought Carla had something to hide, it'll be revealed she actually called out to someone in the dead of night - and the reveal of Max Turner () and Lauren Bolton () roaming the streets in the dark could be the final piece of the puzzle.

Lauren was tormented by Joel for several months after the pair met at the Weatherfield police station, where the duty solicitor took the wayward teen as a client. But after luring her into his grasp with promises of cash and safety, , leading her to flee the cobbles for her safety.

Her departure triggered an police investigation, led by Lisa Swain, which shone a light on Ellie Benton's own torment at Joel's hands. Lauren eventually returned and revealed that she was pregnant with Joel's baby. She has since been trying to expose him for his misdeeds with Dee-Dee and Lisa's help. But could she have gone a step further and killed him with Max's help? And how did Joel's body end up in the canal?
