Jacqueline Jossa said she has "shocked herself" with her recent health kick - but admitted she is enjoying it.
The 31-year-old actress decided to look after her physical health for the sake of her mental wellbeing. However, she said doesn't even recognise herself now and is amazed that she managed to stick to the regime in the first place.
She told OK! Magazine: "It was more for my head, for my mental health, to be honest. And I'm just loving it. I didn't think I'd be able to stick to it, because I'm generally one of those that goes for a week and then stops, but I'm truly loving it. I don't know who I am. I shock myself sometimes!"
Meanwhile, the former I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! winner made a return to her signature role as Lauren Branning in EastEnders and is thrilled that "absolute legends" such as Tracy-Ann Oberman and Louisa Lytton will also be heading back to Walford in time for the soap's 40th anniversary next year.
She said: "Walford holds a special place in my heart, so it really does feel like coming home. Yes, some old faces are back in Albert Square. Some absolute legends in the game, so that's really cool. I love."
Producer Chris Clenshaw is "delighted" that Jacqueline has returned to the show as he teased that there is "plenty of unfinished business" for her character. He said: "I'm delighted to welcome Jacqueline back to the role of Lauren Branning.
"We only saw Lauren on-screen a few of months ago, but her return left plenty of unfinished business between her and the Beales. The Branning family have a long history of being at the heart of the drama in Walford, and we're thrilled to have Jacqueline back in the Square as she continues that family tradition."
Earlier this month, Jacqueline revealed she believes her family were saved by a guardian angel on the night their holiday villa in Marbella was raided by armed men. The actress was left shaken when brazen thieves in balaclavas made off with around £20,000 worth of possessions after ransacking a villa she and her family were staying in. As well as her engagement ring from former The Only Way Is Essex star Dan Osborne, cash, designer clothes and electrical goods were also nabbed in the lavish home raid.
They were enjoying a family getaway in Marbella with their two daughters Ella, nine, and Mia, five, and Dan's son Teddy, eight when the terrifying incident happened. Jacqueline said she was woken by something dropping on the villa floor beefore noticing trches shinning in a bedroom. She said she paused then came face-to-face with one raider who fled. She reckons the brief delay saved their lives, with footage revealing one had a weapon.
She told The Sun: "I truly believe in guardian angels. Something kept me from going out straight away. Had I done I could have been blocking his way. He would have had to move around me, push me downstairs or use a weapon. We saw it on CCTV. There was something very long and sharp in his hand."
