BBC Ludwig fans spot major issue as show repeats 'overwhelming' detail

Fans of BBC's new series Ludwig were glued to their screens on Wednesday night (October 2), but some viewers were sidetracked by an irritating aspect.

The second episode starring David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin appeared to be a hit amongst TV watchers as David's character found himself drawn to another grisly crime scene at a grand Manor House. But although it first appeared to be a missing person's case, it soon turns into something far more dark and sinister.

Despite fans getting stuck into the intense yet comedic storyline, some viewers were quick to point out the "orange and teal" hue on their screens. Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, some fans thought it was rather "overwhelming".

One viewer wrote: "Just natural colours, esp. in a location like Cambridge. Orange and teal makes everything look chilly & sad, like a wet day in February. I like the series' mid century modern/retro decor (inc. Saab like one my brother used to treasure!) but teal blue a bit overpowering."

Another said: "Am I the only one finding the orange & teal colour grade a bit overwhelming on #Ludwig??" A third also added: "If #Ludwig gets a second series, can they please drop the orange and teal?"

Meanwhile, another viewer seemed to enjoy the pallette and said: "Well, I’m enjoying ‘Ludwig’. But is the BBC trolling ITV’s ‘Professor T’? Anyway, the colour palette of #Ludwig is fascinating: shades of blue, seemingly chosen to let shades of complimentary yellow and orange pop out. It’s fascinating to watch unfold."

Nevertheless, those who tuned into the show were loving the scenes and demanded the BBC to make a second series. One fan shared: "I binged watched it and loved it, so yes please we need more and very very soon."

Another echoed: "#Ludwig - put simply, I loved it. @RealDMitchell & Anne Maxwell Martin are just brilliant. Season 2 asap please@BBCOne." A third also added: "Loved the @BBCOne new comedy-drama #Ludwig with the funny David Mitchell @RealDMitchell and fabulous Anna Maxwell Martin. Binged the whole series. Clever, witty and intriguing. Beautifully setup for the second series.."

Actor David appeared to tease that series two is on the cards as everything won't be resolved in the first series. Speaking about one element of the show, where viewers don't find out about the full meaning of the cipher on James' wall, David said: "Even over the whole first series, that's not all solved, which is why we hope for more.
