90s boy band star, 52, unrecognisable as he steps out Down Under ahead of huge gig

A pop star who was huge in the 90s looked almost unrecognisable when he was snapped this week.

The former baby-faced star was in one of the biggest boy bands on the planet. But he cut a casual figure as he tried to step out incognito in dark sunglasses and a black sleeveless T-shirt, shorts and leggings, ahead of a huge gig in over the weekend. But he was still sporting his signature long locks, even at the age of 52.

So, who is the 90s heartthrob in question? It's only Take That's!

Mark isn't performing alone, as are in Australia as part of their This Life tour. Their stint on the other side of the is the first time the band have performed gigs in the country for seven years. He'll be joined by bandmates and . While disco queen is supporting.

The band - which originally included Robbie Williams and Jason Orange in the line-up – first burst on the scene in 1990, so it's no wonder the boys are looking a little different these days. They are all a bit more settled down and married with kids.

And Take That fans will get to see a lot more of them soon as they are reportedly set to follow in former band member Robbie's footsteps and film their own documentary.

Although Mark, Gary and Howard are on board, one person could potentially put a dampener on the project. It comes after Jason quit the band in 2014 to live a life out of the spotlight. So, whether he - or Robbie - will appear in the doc remains to be seen. But with the film being announced at the Edinburgh TV Festival in September, it seems it's a go.

A TV source told The Sun: "The documentary was initially going to feature archive interviews from Jason. But there’s hope he could be persuaded to take part in the present day, which would be a real coup.

"The special is still in its early stages, and Fulwell 73 [who are making the film] has yet to formally approach him. But this could change when the project starts to take shape and the lads have managed to work their magic."

Though whether the boys will be able to get hold of Jason these days is a different matter - as he likes to stay under the radar and use no reply email addresses, apparently.

Howard admitted: "I don’t know where he is. He’s difficult to get hold of, and I believe that’s the way he wants it. When an album is coming out, he’ll send an email saying, ‘I wish you all the success in the world. Then the next day you try replying to it and it’s a no-reply email address."

He might not be in the band anymore, but Jason still described it as 'the best years of my life.' He said at the time: "At the start of this year and with my full knowledge and blessing, the guys began writing new material.

"There have been no fallings out, only a decision on my part that I no longer wish to do this. I know how much Mark, Gary and Howard enjoy writing and making music, and they know that they have my full support and encouragement to continue on with what is to be another chapter for the band. I have spent some of the best years of my life with Take That and I’d like to thank everyone who has been a part of my journey, including my band mates, who I feel are like brothers to me."
