Arsenal are in second place and 15 points behind Liverpool with four matches left to play. The Gunners will now be looking over their shoulder with now just three points behind them after their win over Wolves on Friday night.
Ahead of the clash against Bournemouth, both clubs already know that neither will have the luxury of having a full complement of players at their disposal.
Arsenal have Gabriel Magalhaes , Kai Havertz , Gabriel Jesus , Takehiro Tomiyasu , Riccardo Calafiori and Jorginho all on the sidelines with injuries.
Arteta confirmed on Friday that Calafiori are Jorginho are both unavailable with their respective injuries. The Arsenal boss went on to say that he hopes to be able to call on Havertz, Calafiori and Jorginho before the end of the season.
“It got a bit more complicated than expected," Arteta said when asked about Jorginho's injury. "He's fine, he's recovering well.”
When asked about Havertz's chances of featuring again this season, Arteta added: “I think so, if everything goes the way it's going at the moment, he will have a chance to play a few games before the end of the season.”
Separate from injuries, Arsenal will also not have goalkeeper Neto available for Saturday night's clash at the Emirates Stadium. The shot-stopper is not eligible to feature against his parent club while on loan with the Gunners from the Cherries.
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola will also have injury concerns to deal with for the clash against Arsenal. The Cherries boss has already confirmed that Enes Unal , Luis Sinisterra and Ryan Christie will be unavailable for the fixture due to injuries.
The visitors will be able to call upon Evanliso though, despite the striker's red card against Manchester United last week. Bournemouth appealed the dismissal and saw the decision overturned, meaning the Brazil international will be available to face Arsenal in North London.
